Plex on Roku - Exits (crashes) about 1 hour after screensaver starts

After the screensaver for the PLEX App has been running for about an hour, the PLEX App closes. I suspect it is crashing because if I exit the app and return during normal interaction, the “Remember Selected Tab” setting functions as expected. When the App closes after an hour of screensaver time, the “Remember Selected Tab” setting is not working and I am presented with the Home tab. This behavior is new, within the last week or so.

Anyone else seeing this behavior? I have attempted to turn on logging for the Roku but I have not come across instructions that work. I would try turning on logging for Plex but the 20 minute timer on that would not catch the scenario in which this bad behavior is being experienced.

That is probably expected behavior. All Roku apps are forced to automatically exit after a time of inactivity.

Roku added that “feature” some time ago and they are not going to change it.

If that is the case I’d like to see a feature enhancement by Plex to add a ‘keep alive’ type setting to tell the Roku that it’s still running, even if its screensaver is on.

I would love some feedback on how to enable a view into the Plex or Roku logs to be able to confirm this behavior.

I’ve been having an issue where the interface either lags when I press pause, or freezes and robots my roku streaming stick. I checked for updates and I’m all up to date. Not sure what’s going on.
