Plex on Samsung tv won’t load

Ok, plex updated a couple of weeks ago and now it’s unusable. I get a black screen with some white writing on it

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Sometimes it works for a while then when I come back, it’s like that.

I’ve also rebooted the tv several times (hold power on remote…)

Please help.

Having the same issue. The Samsung native app v3.84.3 that was updated on 2/15 just shows random JavaScript errors and I have to uninstall/reinstall to get it working again.

Same issue here…hoping for a fix soon, although if it’s on Samsung’s side I’m not holding my breath.

yes i have found the TV’s updated my series UN65MU9000 TV works . my series UN43NU7100 TV doesn’t i even deleted and reinstalled the app on the unit. rejoined the TV to plex … GO GOOD

Yep. This is the issue everyone is experiencing.

Why won’t Plex fix it? I’m even a Plex Pass user and will look to something else soon.

We’re in the process of investigating and getting a fix out. It’s one of our top priority bugs and we’re working with Samsung on it.

This is getting really annoying. Worked fine up until a month ago have uninstalled and reinstalled on both wd ex2ultra and tv. It will not play through Plex on Samsung (all up to date). Plex need to step up and get this sort urgently, they are quite happy to keep sending email to upgrade but if it doesn’t work why should I upgrade.

Please get this fixed soonest, I really am getting fed up and have started looking at other media services.

It would be great if someone from Plex would actually respond to these messages…

But it has been over a month! Since the problem started poor response overall by Plex

Apparently they’re having a really hard time isolating the bug as they haven’t been able to reproduce it locally.

Plex’s response above was 18 hours ago…

ANY reply at all would have been nice.

And… there was one, and more in other threads…

Any update I have started to look at alternatives

There’s a fix in place, waiting for Samsung’s approval.
