Just installed Plex Server On My Nvidia Shield TV. Plex picked everything up everything from WD NAS for the Plex Library.
Trying to set TV Recordings to record to a folder on my WD NAS. Fails everytime. Tried changing share permissions on the NAS to full access. Didn’t solve the problem.
Love this server on the Shield TV other than the tv recoding issues.
How do I fix this?

No One else has had this problem? There has to be a solution to this problem. DVR isn’t useful if I can’t save my TV Recordings from my Hd Homerun tuners on my NAS.
Some help from some experience Plex pros would be greatly appreciated!

I think I little more information might help, what versions of software are you running, exactly what do you mean by fails, it never tries to do the recording what happens? Look at the logs when it fails, if you cannot figure it anything from them send them with your post and hopefully someone can help you. I have a shield and WD NAS, hdhomerun and can record to it find, did not have to do anything special.
I don’t know why but this morning recording tv to my NAS is now working !!!
I saw something in the NVidia Guides to set up a directory for recording tv: “NVIDIA_SHIELD/TV Shows” on the NAS I’ve been trying to use that & until this AM that didn’t work either.
I can now stream tv recordings on my Roku Ultras thru out the house!
The TV Guide: is there a way to set it list the programming in descending channel order?

Finally figured out the Tv Guide issue. Have to use the web app. Still learning!!
