Plex on Synology NAS: Cannot find photos

I think the Photos folder is something that Synology creates for its own use and Plex struggles with the permissions on this.

Try creating a different folder for you photos and make sure the Plex user has access to the new folder.

ah, this is just me guessing, but I wonder if the default photo shared folder is another “special” folder like the default video folder. You could try creating a new folder and putting some of your photos in there as a test, and see if Plex is able to see those.
