Plex pass discount.. Why would you give it to new only, and not let established accounts get the same specials?

Occasionally I’ll get a email from plex for one of my kids accounts inviting them for a discounted lifetime plexpass subscription. $74.99 vs 119.99.

My question is why limit these sales? This is insulting that you constantly send these to no plex pass accounts, but refuse to give any discount to established renewals or upgrades.

You need to check your priorities if you think a completely optional discount on Plex’s part is insulting to you. Some people qualify for offers, some don’t, that’s how the whole world of business works.

This is normal.

I still find it insulting that if I wanted to upgrade to a lifetime pass, having been a subscriber for a long time now, that plex feels the need to gouge me for a extra $45 that they don’t charge new users.

There is no loyalty with Plex’s business model or practically any business model. Buy a lifetime or continue to pay monthly for something that will eventually cost you more anyway. The discount is irrelevant. It doesn’t apply to you.
