I have two friends in another country I would like to get the Plex apps for, but it has proven difficult. So I was wondering, if I Gift them Plex Pass they get the free apps, do the apps continue to function unlocked after their subscription ends?
Also it would be great if there was a way to Gift people the apps too.

No, they revert to trial apps.
The apps can also be unlocked in their respective App stores for a one-off fee.
I understand there are gift-vouchers available for some of the app stores. You could get some of these.
The ‘unlock’ is then only valid for this particular app store account.

Sadly, as they are in another country the gift cards don’t work. Both Google Play and Apple gift cards are only redeemable in the country they are purchased.
Mail them $5? Giving someone a Plex Pass as a gift just to get an app, seems like a waste of money. You could always add their account to your Home, but that seems annoying?
