Do everyone needs plex pass to skip intro? even that i m the owner and allready got plex pass?
Because friends can’t skip intro Only my account or manage account.
If this is really that way then plex pass all the years i got it make none sence…

That’ll depend… there’s certain Plex Pass features which benefit the functionality of your server (e.g. online extras, DVR…), while others are aiming at usability / user oriented functionality (e.g. download/mobile sync, skip intro…).
This kind of split existed for as long as I can remember. Though there’s been some recent changes (or announced changes) where Plex tries to disentangle the dependencies in order to make this more consistent.
Skip Intro is definitively a Plex Pass-only feature.
So everyone who wants to benefit from it, needs a Plex Pass.
So that means it would make none sence to buy life time plex pass.
I was thinking that gona change with that. Cause for only using sometimes plex would not really be profitable for my users, for plex it would be.
I actually don’t understand it why it is that way but thats sad. I mean there other free softwares out there they got the same options as plex for free and more like AMD GPU transcoding on Linux.
Only was staying with plex cause there were no other good softwares for that, but now its looks like it does.
But thanks for fast answers
I suppose we disagree on that… especially with Plex Pass being 20% off at the moment.
Well that would not help much if everyone have to but that to use into skip… i got like 10 User, thats not an Option.
How do you expect Plex to earn any money? They don’t serve any ads on your content, provide all of the backbone to delivering your content and do it for free. All they ask for is that more premium features users pay for so that they can actually support their business financially. If your users aren’t willing/able to pay the frankly small fee to access these premium features and that is enough to drive them to another platform then oh well. I will caution though, that the grass is almost never greener…
