Hi Plexans !!
I have been trying to understand Plex in all its formats now for the last couple of months. I have just but one scenario that I want to know about Plex Pass in order for my family to use it.
DOES the Plex Pass DO THE FOLLOWING:
I have my NAS server with all my media on it. Now I can connect and watch it all without issues at home (as I am on the same NETWORK)
What I want to know is - does Plex Pass give you the added pleasure of allowing for example my mum in her house to connect to my server with her Plex Home Managed Users Account ?
She will have a Roku Stick
Basically I would create a Managed User Account for her and would like to know if she will be able to access the NAS server.
Also, one other thing - I have a Samsung Smart TV and have installed the Plex App on it - BUT - when running the app it seems to only show the Most Recently Added and nothing else - so limiting what we can watch on this. I know you may require the model number but will get this asap.

you don’t need PlexPass to do what you want to do.
the only benefit of PlexPass would be PlexHome which would give your mother the media on the main screen rather than hidden away in "Shared Content"
I’d certainly give it all a run before buying the Pass.
No idea what you’ve done to your Samsung, the one’s I’ve setup all have the media show up no problem.

Many thanks for the reply.
I know that she can access the media on my server but through my username and password but the restrictions that I am thinking of the plex pass is that she also has PS3 for her grandchildren and would also like the plex to run on this - meant to add that previously - apologies. Therefore also to have her own log in as such.
The plex software on the Samsung SmartTV shows the option to go to Movies for example and then that lists the Most Recently Added to the right of the menu.

You have to press the enter key when your remote is sitting on Movies or else you won’t get all movies.
On my samsung when I press plex app, to the left is listed the folders I created on my server. movies, Animated, etc. When I use the remote and press enter on Movies, a list of options comes up.
All Movies
Recently Added, etc.
I choose the first option, All Movies…
Hit enter key…
