Plex Pass user getting "Internal Server Error. Something went wrong on our end" **confirmed Tidal issue***

It would be best (your account security sake), if you went to plex.tv/contact and submitted a billing ticket there. I hope you don’t mind?

They already have direct access to your account for tasks such as this.
I would need go ask them.

By you making the request, you have the confirmations for your records.

but for contact i get this message

Oops; a 404 error…

That’s “page not found” in human language.

You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.
Let us take you to the main page and we can start all over again, shall we?

First, https://www.plex.tv/contact/
provides:

Please explain “and we can start all over again, shall we?” ?
Where to begin?

I’m guessing it’s part of the error message.

I’m not tracking-- apologies.

I “Need Input”

To unlink Tidal account

Brilliant this actually worked. Thanks Chuck I’d spent 4 days trying to get plex working again & unlinking my tidal subscription finally solved the problem

Chuck, I am having the same exact issue as person. I submitted a billing ticket…can you pleas unlink my Tidal account. I cannot access anything.

I do not have access to that system.

Have you attempted to sign into your account via www.plex.tv -> My account and disconnect your subscription there? You should have the access.

Can’t get to that page in settings until the authentication completes…which it does not.

Chuck…can someone help me on this asap? I have run Plex for many years with no issues until I added Tidal. I simply want it removed so I can log back in to my account and resume normal use.

@ChuckPa i’m now having the same issue after trying to unlink Tidal.

@ChuckPa i think i have fixed this myself, i had to log out of every session i had open, log back in at www.plex.tv, then google plex.tv subscriptions because i couldn’t find an obvious link that didn’t redirect through app.plex.tv.

from here i could click “other services” and unlink tidal AGAIN! and everything came back to life after that.

It not necessarily that you needed to be logged out of every session. If you possibly had signed in as another user and the page hadn’t refreshed, it could cause confusion as to what it was actually unlinking. As long as you refresh the page, you should be fine.

SBaxterPlex THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This is the method to fix the Tidal problem.

My server was down for two weeks with zero help or knowledge from any Plex team member or anyone at Plex after numerous requests.

Here are the exact steps to fix the Tidal debacle:

  1. Log out of plex.tv and clear browser cache.
  2. Log back in to plex.tv and then open another browser tab/window
  3. Type this link in the new browser window: https://plex.tv/users/other-services
  4. Un-authorize and then unlink the junk Tidal account interface
  5. Go to your plex server and shut the server applet down
  6. On windows open regedit
  7. Go to the section: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/PLEX MEDIA SERVER
  8. Delete the registry keys: PlexOnlineHome, PlexOnlineMail, PlexOnlineToken, PlexOnlineUsername
  9. Restart plex server, reclaim server to your Plex account, verify settings
  10. All is good!!!

Why in the heck Plex web developers insist on running web users through the plexapp interface is beyond me. If ANYTHING goes wrong the user is stuck in a loop for which there is no escape…until SBaxterPlex figured out that opening https://plex.tv/users/other-services in another tab bypasses the mobius loop of ridiculous plexapp security authentication.

Thanks Bro…I owe you one!!!
No thanks to anyone at Plex…you owe us one.

hi there. Im getting this exact issue now. I tried to change Tidal login credentials and on unauthorizing Tidal account I got logged out from plex.tv and now seeing this message.

Hi ChuckPa, seems I have the same with my account, can you please help fix it?

Please see the steps above to fix.

Thanks, found it and resolved.

I’m now having this issue today and i’m unable to sign in anywhere, but it’s possibly different as I don’t have a Tidal sub or anything on my plex account at all.

I get the same error, have no Tidal sub, and can’t access anything. However every time I get the error I get a notifcation by email that I successfully logged in. Help?

Edit (i’ll update as more things happen):

I finally was able top log in to the plex.tv website, but my server is inaccessible.

now my server is accessible but became unlinked and i had to reclaim it.
