Having a new problem with my Plex server. Last time I looked at it was early last week (7-10 days ago), and I just checked this morning, so something happened between now and then.
All my pinned sources were gone on the client and I had the “no soup for you” message.
I connected to the server (headless Windows 10 on local network) and they were gone there as well. Went back in and re-pinned all my local sources, reordered them and everything looked fine.
Then I re-connected with the same account on my desktop and the sources were missing again. Back to the server and hit refresh and they were missing there as well.
I’ve logged off/on, restarted PMS, restarted the server, etc. all without success.
Any ideas/suggestions on what’s going on or how to fix it?
the navigation customization is not automatically synchronized across different clients (e.g. for those who want different libraries pinned on their TV compared to a mobile or their browser).
Within Plex Web or the Plex desktop clients you have an option to enable/disable the settings sync within that group of clients. If you’ve turned off settings sync, each browser will show it’s own navigation (pinned/more) layout.
See:
Settings > Plex Web > General > Turn on/off settings sync
Settings > Plex for Mac/Windows > General > Turn on/off settings sync
Just a quick update. Ended up clearing Chrome cache on client PC and re-logging in. Picked up pinned sources and all appears to be working like before.
Something must have gotten corrupted in the cache I guess…
