Plex Player causes PC with Media Server to Disconnect From Network

I access Plex on various TVs with a Mi Box, a Shield and the app on Samsung TV. After a couple of years with no issues, I began having a problem a few days ago.

I can stream content on Plex player with no issues but when I try to play content stored on my PC with Media Server it buffers for a bit, then gives me a playback error and then informs me that the server is unavailable.

When I check on the PC with Media Server it is disconnected from the network and to reconnect I need to run Windows diagnostics . It resets the network adapter and the PC is once again connected to the network.

The disconnect issue is the same no matter if I use the Mi Box, Shields or Samsung TV player.

I thought perhaps that the PIA VPN I use on the PC might be causing the problem but the same disconnect happens whether the VPN is on or not.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Thanks.

So, after messing around deleting and reinstalling my network adapter a few times and then deleting my VPN I finally decided to completely remove plex media server completely from the PC.

I later reinstalled it and it now connects and does not disconnect me from the network. Of course I now have a new problem in that it will not connect securely.
