Installed PMS and the Plex player on my pc (Windows 10) and the player on my tv (Sony BRAVIA 4K UR3) last week. All seemed to stream well; could play video’s, see photo’s and listen to music. Untill two days ago: PMS will not play music anymore (photo’s and video’s no problem) on tv. I can see the folders and the files on the tv, but when selecting a (music)track nothing happens and the tv jumps to the Android start screen. All my media are stored on an hard disk drive. Only the folder names differ. Uninstalling and re-installing Plex didn’t help. HELP!!!
Do you have folder art in the files? I know my FireTV will not play music files with no albums artwork in the file and dumps to home screen. I have to use Kodi for music to get around it.
Doesn’t work for me. Do you use Kodi as a media server? If yes, I’ll try that.
Kodi is not a server, but a player. You map the server to it and play. Not sure if you can get it on the TV though.
Plex server map to Kodi?! That will not work. It’s so fkng annoying that it worked but not anymore. And I simply cant find the cause
