Plex, when is the fix coming out?
Same problem on a MacBook Pro Intel macOS Ventura 13.4
Brand new out of the box M2 equipped Macbook Air here, eagerly awaiting the new fix.
did a fresh install of operating system and downloaded latest version to get same quit hang. stop spinning! plex employee who said fixed issue, spoke too soon. worst part is auto-update.
Plex Player (1.69.1.3755-e00242c8) on MacOS (Ventura 13.4) hangs on quit.
Same Issue at my iMac Pro with OS Monterey 12.6.6. and Plex Version 1.69.1.3755-e00242c8
It crash on quit and it is annoying. No solution or workaround for that problem?

A fix for this issue will be included in 1.70.x, which is due to be released next week.

Thanks for the update. Just a shame it took someone from Plex so long to acknowledge the issue and what was happening.

This was two and a half weeks ago. Did nobody at Plex think to push the update out to the public? Or at least announce when the update to the problem would be released? Shoddy from Plex.
Who? You mean those pesky paying customers who keep hassling us just because we automatically pushed out a faulty version without doing any QA? Nah, they can wait…
Apologies it’s taking a while to get the fix out but it was acknowledged by an employee on the same day this thread was posted. Unfortunately the nature of software development means that sometimes it takes a while for a fix to get into a public release.
And yet Plex has taken 17 days (and counting) and has still been unable to either push out an emergency “roll-back” or “hot-fix” or whatever version in the interim?
Sorry, I’m not buying your attempt at spin. It just comes across as Plex being a bit lazy and/or arrogant and uncaring. You could have rolled out a quick fix but chose not to - instead you’ll do it when it suits the Devs?
Especially galling/perplexing when it looks like such an obvious QA test-object overlook “duh!” in the first place…
Unfortunately the release took longer than expected to get out, so apologies for any inconvenience around this bug but 1.70.2 is now out that includes a fix for this issue. Thanks all for your patience.

Hi! With Plex-1.70.2.3845 there is finally a solution!
Hurrah. I can also confirm this update has indeed now fixed the hanging error on my Mac (macOS 13.4).

How do I get it? The download page is still showing Version 1.70.2.3845-31e96af6.
@Moussa thank you for letting us know this has been fixed with v1.70, auto updated and all is well.
