Plex player on Fire Stick no longer plays video

Worked fine last night. Now it doesn’t work with error - “an error occurred while attempting to play this video. please check your connection”

Plex player can access my server to play music, just not videos. However, my TIVO that sits on the same network plays videos just fine, as does my computer.

I installed the latest server version, nothing changed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plex app from Amazon. Nothing changed.

I also have a 42" Fire TV, and it is also now having the same problems.

Running into the same issue. Was able to watch my media before my server updated today. Now I just get constant errors.

I have same issues I’m not sure if it an android issue as I have fire stick, nvidia shield and my Samsung phone all have the exact same issues. Always buffering and won’t play. Tried my laptop and worked fine. This has happened in the past couple days. Before that was no issues

I can confirm that my OnePlus 6T (android phone) does the same thing as well. Windows laptop, TiVo, all work fine

Same here on all my Android devices and (which includes Fire TV sticks). Issue occured before I updated my media server Persists after updating to latest version 1.21. “Using old player works” on my projector with surround sound. Crashes on my TV which does not have surround sound. 'Using old player" (under settings > advanced > enable new player > no) is not an option on phones android app
