"Unable to play media" on fire stick

Hi

I have an issue that im unable to resolve, despite a few days of research.

Issue started around 2 weeks ago, before which everything was fine. However since then, when playing some items i get a “unable to play media” error. There are a few things to note:

-The issue occurs on the fire stick and android phone. I have played the files on my desktop(with subtitles, and this works fine)
-For one of the series that worked previously, turning on subtitles now causes the file to crash and display the error above, however the file still plays when leaving them off
-I noticed the my NAS (WD my cloud EX2 ultra and which is the server) updated it’s firmware roughly around when the issue happened, but i can’t be sure if this is the source. I’ve also updated the plex media server and all the clients to the most up to date version i can see, but to no avail
-I’ve tried some of the other fixes that have been suggested on other threads, also to no avail

I’m pretty stumped why this only effects the fire stick to be honest. I’ll provide logs if that helps (how would one go about getting logs from the fire stick?)

If you are running an older Plex Media Server release, such as 1.18 or 1.19:

In terms of other fixes, some threads have recommended allowing unsecure connections, or “turning off new player” under advanced, which haven’t worked.

I’m having the same problems frequently, on version 1.22. Did you find a fix?
