Windows 10 app super slow

Hi,
For the past week or so the plex windows 10 app has been almost completely unusable.
Every single animation is like loading a picture over 2003 dial-up.
Starting the app takes almost 30 seconds, and changing subtitles (Which no longer gives any search results) takes 5-6 sec.
I’ve also talked to multiple of my friends who has the same problem, but here is my specs anyway
R5 3600x CPU
16Gb 3400Mhz ram
Rtx 2060 super

Server Version#: 4.62.1
Player Version#: Plex; 1.34.1.2590-74ea7099; Windows 10 Version 2004

This is a known issue. Uninstall, download v1.33 and install this.

Plex for windows version: 1.34.1.2590-74ea7099

After the last update I’m having a much slower experience on Plex for Windows app. Is this happening to someone else?

It’s slower in doing everything, like going back to home is taking something like a couple secs (I have a Ryzen 9 5950x, so it’s not my computer of course), or just hovering with the mouse on contents, I see a delay in the highlithining and the loading of the content page.
I mean all of this is really annoying and with a user experience like this is better to use the web app (making Plex for Windows useless).

How should we install v1.33? From here I can just download v1.34.1.2601-ff212e16

It’s a new build number. So it is a different file.
In my cursory test, it behaved a little faster. But my test system wasn’t much affected by the bug described in this thread.
But still worth a try.

Turn off the Plex Pass download. It should change to v1.33.0.2444.

Plex for Windows version: 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4

Takes a very long time to open the application - 30 seconds to 1 minute. This is disconcerting as it makes you think that the application isn’t going to load at all, so you press it again and eventually multiple dialogues of Plex for Windows opens.

To my knowledge there is no issues with sluggishness with 1.33 – Its 1.34 that had the bug.

They seem to have change the Framework with version 1.34.1.2590-74ea7099

it’s on C++ now… i think it was on Quicktime process (don’t quote me on that)
(ie: the sub process in task manager)

Same 1.34 sluggishness here.

Windows 10 x64 21H1, latest updates

It seemed to come with the UI refresh that (I think) came with 1.34.
