Version 1.26.2.5797
Running Windows 7 Pro
I have been running Plex for years and it works great. This just started happening two days ago. Remote access randomly disables itself:
Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network. Learn moreDISABLE REMOTE ACCESS
If I reboot, it will work for awhile, then disable. I have the log file.
Private 10.0.0.83 : 32400 Public 73.xxx.xx.xxx : 28538 Internet
MOD-EDIT: Masked public IP address.
The last time this happened i had upgraded the Xfinity hardware and it was the advanced security settings. That is not the case here. Advanced security is off.
Are you using automatic (UPnP/NAT-PMP) or manual port forwarding?
If automatic, consider changing to manual port forwarding. Manual does not require any negotiation between your server and the router.
You will have to assign a fixed IP address to your server and configure port forwarding in your router.

Thank you! I am headed out of town, but I will look at that on Sunday when I get back. What I don’t understand is why it started doing this out of the blue. Everything had been working fine and there have been no changes.
This happened to me as well after a recent Xfinity modem update. I ended up rebooting the modem and then my server (the one running Plex) and that seems to have fixed it. I’m using automatic port forwarding (i.e., no manual port mapped).
