A week ago, I updated the artwork for episodes 9 and 10 here, but Plex just will not fetch them. I’ve tried removing and re-adding the episodes, season, and entire TV show along with the Plex Dance and nothing. Also cleared the caches folder. I’m using the latest TV agent. What’s going on…?
I believe there is some manner of delay in the cache of the TVDB and Plex. You won’t see instant results if you make edits there, vs. what Plex picks up.
I did read that somewhere too, that’s why I’ve given it a week
I think the latest has preference for TMDB not TVDB. Consider making the update to TMDB.
That would make sense, but TMDB doesn’t have any artwork for those two episodes

Thanks. Does that mean that if TMDB doesn’t have metadata, it won’t fall back to TVDB? What’s also strange is that most of the episodes didn’t have artwork on TMDB before your update, but Plex did get those, just not the last two. I first tried fetching them before updating TVDB, but I thought it would’ve updated on Plex’s end by now
Not sure about the hierarchy of retrieval, but the best bet to get meta to flow is to use TMDB.
