Matched TV-Series not Pulling art work from TVDB

I added a couple of shows to Plex last night. Shows matched against TVDB, but not of the art work appeared in against the show. So the poster was blank for the Series, and the Seasons. I see some errors in the agents.thetvdb.log file. But I am not certain what I should doing to correct the situation. Every was working fine the day before. I am not seeing this situation with Movies.

Anecdotally I set up a new Plex server this morning and ran into this same issue. Some artwork shows up, some does not. I haven’t had time to dive into the logs yet but can try later tonight.

I think tvdb was or is having intermittent issues.

I’ll give it a shot with MovieDB later once the thumbnails complete…

there’s another thread about this, it’s not tvdb, it’s plex a guy in this thread posted logs and shows a bunch of handshake errors. here’s the thread

I’ve got the same issue going on. Just added Good Omens and Batman Beyond but neither are getting any images. The res of the metadata works out fine though.
Will be following the thread to see if there’s a solution soon!

I’m also having the same issue. I just added the first season of Friends and an Anime, Blue Gender, everything except the images is coming through. I tried to add images separately but it won’t allow me to either. If anyone finds a fix please let us know!

same here, i manually matched with themoviedb and it pulled the series artwork.

I have been having the same issue with newly added TV shows using ttvdb all weekend. I thought at first it was oddball shows but I just added the Simpsons and I have to manually download and import all the artwork. The text metadata is all correct as is the episode thumbnails but the banners, posters and backgrounds are all not loading. I’ve dumped cache, restarted PMS, toggled HW transcode, the whole nine yards. I am assuming it is an issues with TheTVDB and not plex.

Yup, this is definitely an issue for at least the past day for me. Other agents work fine, TheTVDB does not. -__-

Guessing it is Cloudfare being a giant pile of crap as always. I will manually update for now.

Just a heads up for those who follow this.
I had an update on my servers, updated it and the issue seems fixed! :slight_smile:

Update for anyone else. It seems like they just aren’t updating new shows on their end for some. Manually see if it’s there on their end by searching at the top and checking the particular season/ep. Two of my shows haven’t been updated in 3+ days.

Hmm interesting. It seems to be pulling artwork down now, which is great, though episode names and summary data aren’t getting pulled. Not as big an issue as the art, but still, messin’ with my curation… ;D

I noticed issues with Filebot this morning with my renaming for shows and dug into what was going on.

Apparently TheTVDB’s API has been down today. Your mileage my vary, but I think this is our problem folks.

Yeah it worked for a few days and now it’s down again for me.
I also noticed TVDB has had a UI update so maybe it’s got something to do with that - that they’re working on the site.
Hope it’ll be working again soon :slight_smile:
My OCD doesn’t like it :stuck_out_tongue:

Same issue as MrWaxWeazle, it was working now its stopped again… It won’t even allow me to do manual updates
