Would someone be available to help me troubleshoot my Plex server? I’m trying to get remote access to work and unless I’ve missed something I’ve completed all of the steps in the guide (manual port forwarding and made sure upnp is enabled) on the Plex server dashboard it says that it is fully accessible from outside my network, but I can’t load my libraries on mobile data or from any other wifi connection. Thanks in advance
If you create a manual port forwarding, you don’t need UPnP. (manual is recommended anyway)
But you need to tell Plex that you did, by enabling “Manually specify public port” and putting in the external port number from your router setting.
I have triggered a new security certificate for you. Please stop and restart your server now.
@ottokerner Thank you for your reply, I can confirm that the port was manually specified, and on restarting the server, the remote access said disabled, I pressed retry and it once again says it is connected successfully, but still cannot be accessed outside of my local network
Are you certain that you are not behind a CGNAT?
I don’t see a Plex Pass badge under your username. You need that or a remote watch pass for remote access to work.
I have the same problem. On my iphone i cant access my library. My friend has an android smartphone. He is using an older version of the plex app and uts workung. I dint have that ootion with apple. Also i have trouble with plex on sonos
