Plex Remote Streaming Question

I had an alert from my router that two foreign IPs attempted to connect to my plex box. I do not have port forwarding enabled for this box, only the Plex Remote Stream.

I guess my first question is how did foreign IPs try and connect to my plex box if the remote streaming is strictly via my Plex.tv account?

What does that mean? The remote access of Plex (normally) always involves a port-forwarding. Either automatically set-up per UPnP, or manually.

I’ve never forwarded a port. I enabled Remote Streaming in the plex app and it just worked.

Yes, you then simply used the automatically created port forwarding.
It’s a proper port-forwarding nonetheless.

Or he’s on an indirect connection.
