I rebooted my computer and now when I open Plex, it reports that my Synology NAS server is offline, but it isn’t. I can access it through other apps such as Media Monkey. I need someone to walk me through how to get this fixed.
If you’re using DSM 7
AND nothing about the NAS or network has changed (that you know of)
-
Uninstall the app using the UNINSTALL ONLY (KEEP) option
– this keeps all the server data -
Reinstall the same package again
– USING the “New or Lost Servers” (Plex Claim Token) option
– Click the link to get a claim token
– COPY the token from the new browser tab
– PASTE back into the installer window
– NEXT NEXT DONE -
If all goes well, it will confirm the server is again claimed by your email address and username.
-
IF NOT, Manually make a ZIP file of “PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Logs” and attach it here.
Thank you. I’ll keep this in mind if it happens again. After posting my question last night, I shut down the computer and then started it up again, rather than restarting it. After doing it this way, it found the server.
