Here’s the text of a post I posted last JUNE 2020 that was NEVER replied to. My Plex is doing the same thing now. Just constantly scanning my music section, neverending and CANNOT BE STOPPED without shutting down Plex completely. At some point, the problem went away last year but it’s back with a vengeance.
THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP.

So I’ve searched the forum and there are some similar posts but no answers.
Every time I add a new album to plex music, after adding the album, the music scan just continues forever (until I close and reopen the server). I hit the CANCEL SCAN button and it does NOTHING. There has to be a way to cancel the never-ending music scan. I let it run for DAYS before but it still want to scan forever. I have a rather large music folder, with lots of VARIOUS ARTIST albums (which I think might be part of the issue) but still…
