PMS stops when scanning new music

I have added a lot of music (about 750 mb) to my music library. Whenever Plex goes to scan the library to catalog it, the system seems to start and it might add another few albums, but it then stops running.

I have been through a lot of the messages on the forum here but so far nothing I have seen either works or is related. I’m new to this however so I may be missing some essential setting or element and need some guidance about where to look.

I am limiting to partial scans only when things have changed but I did add a lot last night so there are a large number of changes going on. I am keeping the scanner on lower priority.

Sorry, yes. The Plex server stops running and needs to be restarted. It does add the one or two albums it gets to and then shuts down.
