Plex server can not be found on PC it is installed on, but is accessible from other devices

Hi everyone,

Strange thing here: I installed Plex media server on my pc today. Somehow Plex Media Player (both the web and the installed version) can not find the server.

However, I can access it from my mobile phone when I enter the IP address of my PC (192.168.0.20:32400/web).

When I access the web version from the Plex Server icon in my system tray, it directs the web browser to 127.0.0.1:32400/web. I am not sure if this is a cause of the problem. Even when I manually enter 192.168.0.20:32400/web in my web browser, it can not find the server. I have tried on both the Google Chrome and MS Edge browsers.

Can anyone help?

Your web browsers are using a different plex.tv account than your server and your iOS device.
You probably used ‘Login with Google’
Don’t.
Logout and use ‘login with email’
supply the right email address and Plex password.

If you cannot remember which email you used to set up the server, take a look into the Registry. The key PlexOnlineMail should contain a hint.
