1.40.4.8679 has 4 months and it’s the latest release without the issue.
please help us

This one was a bit of head-scratcher, but fix is coming for this after it regressed in the prior build.
It will be in the next beta release to be released soon.

I signed up for Beta testing and went back in to check Play Store and a beta release had appeared dated 20 November. I’ve tried installing that, but should I keep checking back for a newer release? I’m in the UK if that makes a difference.
When is the fix coming to the playstore? Everything else is of little interest to me. that was the last update i made in the playstore, i will look for another software for the future, this one doesn’t work at all, all nvidia shields are unusable at the moment. An approximate time would be interesting, if it takes too long i will set up another server and leave plex alone. My family is getting on my nerves because nobody can watch anything any more, and I can’t even tell them when it will be up and running again, everything else is of little interest to me.

Same here, I set up another server on my NAS drive for now. I just pointed it at the same media. The NAS server works okay for me at home but for remote viewers it’s very spotty. I watch my shield server stop and start constantly for the past few weeks. It’s gotten worse and worse. I really hope there is a fix soon. This is pretty much the only thing I use the plex for TBH.
On the other thread the link to download the PMS is there and people are just manually installing. Should we be doing that or is the beta going to google play store imminently? Server disconnects - Screen goes black during playback - #51 by Jlach21
edit - i installed manually in the end and it seems fine, but i guess wait for the hotfix from the google store if you can

A hotfix for the 1.41.3 beta has just been pushed out, it’s currently in review on the Play Store and will roll out to devices once it’s approved.

Running this on my shield, just to report this has fixed all the recent connection issues with my plex/shield at least.
