I have the 5 time out option enabled in my Plex server witch works great on tv/movies content however it doesn’t do sh*t on music, I listen to something then pause and exit out of my app on one of my TV’s then a day later I still see it paused on my Plex server. WTH?
When a TV program ends and the next episode is queued up by Plex it doesn’t start from the beginning, it freezes the image 10 seconds into the new episode and plays the audio leading up to it before unfreezing the image. If I stop the TV program and exit out and go back in and start the same TV program episode from the beginning it plays normally.
If I have paused something, a movie or tv program, then go back into it later even though I have hit “resume” Plex plays it from the start again, if I exit out and start it again Plex will resume it from the last spot I was at.
The 4 pin passcode needs to updated to an optional 15 or 18 pin or better yet enable 2FA. Here is a copy of the HiveSystems “time it takes a hacker to brute force your password” list. With what we have seen today its only a matter of time when some hacker gets access to Plex’s client logins and brute forces the 4 digital passcodes instantly.
