1. Secure vs insecure for the player – Is the player one of the older TVs which were lost as of the Sept 30th certificate expiration ?

Important information about Plex for smart TVs after September 30, 2021

UPDATE: It appears that all Tizen-based Samsung sets are likely affected by the cert change and will thus need the app and server configured to allow insecure connections. On September 30, 2021, some older smart TVs (some Samsung, LG, Vizio, Hisense, and other unsupported TV platforms) will no longer be able to use secure connections to communicate with Plex Media Servers. 2. Media not showing up -

• Permissions of the shared folder (not very likely unless an entire shared folder disappears)
• Specific shows not appearing – Permissions for the file or how they are named.

3. Rather than downgrading , may I see the server logs ?

• If there’s a problem, hoping it gets fixed without first identifying it will almost always lead to disappointment unless it’s a widespread problem (which I’ve not seen reports of)
