Plex Server on Linux can't match

Lifetime Plex Pass and long time supporter first time forum post,

Long story is I changed some folders and now Plex doesn’t want to match anything.

I have tried the Plex dance of removing the files, removing the folder share, clearing all the cache and xml, rebooting, and re-adding fresh.

My media follows the proper naming conventions and typically scrapes the metadata just fine.

I have even gone so far as force uninstalling and clearing all traces of Plex and reinstalling.

I have tried disabling IPv6 and moved local Media assets to the bottom of the agents list. For a time when I would manually match it would download art, now it matches but downloads jack squat.

I assume that means it means that it has local metadata and can’t see the TVdb.

Basically this whole scraping process is crap on Linux. (specifically Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.) Works fine when I had it on Windows Server.

Is anyone else on Linux seeing this behavior?

You are likely suffering from this TheTVDB metadata - V3 API and related issues like everyone else on all platforms.

Yep looks like.

“We have this problem and its solution space well defined. Please be patient and allow us to work.”

Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea.
I will try it again after updating the server after a few days.
