Since upgrading to version 1.26.2.5797 Plex on my QNAP TS-451D2 has been periodically crashing and becoming completely unresponsive. No players can access it (TVs, AppleTVs, iOS apps, etc.) even the local web interface in the browser cannot resolve the management console.
My QNAP is running firmware version 5.0.0.2055 which recently updated but I was having the same issue prior to this update 2-days ago.
While Plex is unresponsive I can still access the web management page for my NAS, where I need to go into App Centre, stop Plex from running and then start it again, at that time everything works fine again until several hours later or the next morning when it’s offline again.
I’ve extracted the logs from Plex server and there are some crash logs in there and I can see it’s trying to upload them but it fails, this is what I see in the crash uploader logs.

Am I the only one having this issue? I’ve gone through my NAS settings and turned off scheduled events such as frequent AV scans and the like but nothing has yet seemed to change this behaviour.
Let me know if other log info is needed for this.
Thanks.
Pull log files via Settings → Troubleshooting and upload the entire ZIP file. Drag the file into the message window. It will insert at the cursor location.
Someone familiar with QNAP NAS can take a look and see what is happening.
Thanks - I’ll give it a go and see how it behaves.
In working with the players more today I’ve noticed that the TV theme music is no longer playing when in shows and the system can freeze for a while as the theme music likely times out of playing.
The log files do not contain enough information. Re-enable debug, but not verbose, logging in Settings → Server_Name → General. If / when Plex crashes, re-start Plex Media Server, wait 2 - 3 minutes for Plex to fully start, then pull the log files.
The Plex Server on the QNAP hasn’t crashed overnight, so far so good there.
Still have the menu selections freezing on Samsung Tizen players and some file playback issues but otherwise more stable.
If something seems to be timing out, check for connectivity issues - can you stream some of the Plex TV channels OK (the free ones from Plex). It could also be a DNS issue. Try using a public DNS such as 8.8.8.8 (Google) if you’re using a different one.
Search the samsung-tizen area of the forum for similar reports.
You might also open up a thread in the tizen area. That will get more eyes on the issue. If you need to provide log files, set the TV to log to server at the debug level (the setting times out after 8 hours).
I’ve an LG & don’t use the theme music feature, so will be of little assistance on Samsung specific issues.
