Plex Server refuses to launch

I am trying to reinstall Plex Server from scratch. I download the server (I have done this 3 times now in case it was corrupted) and run as Administrator.

It goes through the setup it gets almost to the end and then stops for about 10 minutes just saying it is processing.

Finally it says it was successfully completed and to LAUNCH

I click LAUNCH and nothing

There is no tray icon, nothing happens at all.
I have restarted my computer, uninstalled the program, cleaned the registry and repeated.
The same thing happens.

If I go into Programs it seems to have installed but it won’t launch.

I tried to find logs by going to ```
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Logs

but it says Windows cannot find the file and to try again.

I have repeated this several times but all the same result.

Any ideas on why this may be happening, or how to fix it.

Exactly what did you do, to clean the registry? Did you use some kind of “Registry Cleaner” software (hint: avoid them)? Or did you only remove the “Plex” branch from the registry manually?

Are you running other software on this computer, which might occupy network port 32400? (usually some kind of Torrent software)
