Plex Server - Remote Access checker

I have pfBlockerNG enabled on my PfSense firewall, I have blocked everything but Canada and the US via GeoIP.

When I got to Remote Access in settings on my plex server is shows “not available outside your network”. When I hit RETRY the plex server will connect for a moment then switch back to the same message. When I check the port on my static IP using a port forwarding tester it shows the port is open.

So is Plex using some other servers outside of Canada and the US to verify the outside connection?

My brother and friend don’t have a problem connect to my server, but I would like to know what’s causing the error to appear!?

They probably call a dns to test it. Enable a sniffer on your firewall and check what IP is trying to connect to your external port when you enable remote access.
