Plex server running but no clients can see it

Server Version#: 1.19.1.2701
Player Version#: all

This happens every few weeks.

I wake up and Plex clients cannot find Plex but it is running on my QNAP (according to the applications screen in admin).

Stopping and restarting Plex always fixes the problems.

I have the (debug) logs if you need them, but there is no crash remark.

Is this a known issue?

Can’t tell what’s happening from a single file which is in the middle of a transcode session.

Lots of DVR and transcoding activity.

There are no errors which i can find – anywhere.

Could this be a network issue or does it become available immediately after a restart?

There are some ways to query what it’s doing now but those methods require direct curl interaction. Are you up to that ?

I am not consciously transcoding anything - all my playback is “direct play”

I am happy to try curl but please guide me. I have used curl before in scripts on my Mac but am not an expert with it.

It happened again. Just stopped working on Tue night - discovered the “freeze” on Wed morning.
