Plex Server update 1.18.0.1892 fails to start

I didn’t realize that, but I do know it worked and I’m able to use Plex now without any issues on the previous version from before I upgraded earlier today.

Also, PMS_Updater.sh is not my script, it’s one someone else wrote and was the only solution I could find to upgrade Plex on FreeNAS to the Plex Pass versions:

I should also mention that it has been quite a few years now since I originally installed this FreeNAS/Plex setup, so it’s very possible that I’m not using the latest recommended methods at this point. Feel free to enlighten me about this, but I don’t think a Synology package installer is going to be a good solution for a FreeNAS setup, especially if it expects things to be installed at /var/package, since that’s not how the FreeNAS Plex plugin sets things up?

I just realized this thread is tagged as “server-synology”, so I think that’s part of the problem here and I apologize for the confusion. I had just found this thread through a search and didn’t realize it was Synology specific. Oops!

The last remaining issues should now be resolved in 1.18.0.1913

Version 1.18.0.1913 working fine on my synology 918+ NAS.

1913 not starting on my DS918+

should PMS_Updater.sh be grabbing a .1944 release at this time to fix the boot up problem?

.1913 take down FreeNAS after it runs for awhile. The NAS comes to a crawl and requires a reboot to get it going again. The Plugin .1913 will start and then will stop running after awhile, and then drags the NAS down with it.
