After update failed, I tried to open plex and received a 404 error message.

I click retry connection and get the error message below again.

I get this error message - A problem has been detected with a core component of
plex Media Server.
Please visit the forums and provide your logs, as described here.
Plex Media Server.5.zip (1.2 MB)
I have uninstalled and re installed plex server with no change.

What kind of disk is drive E: ?
It looks like you have tried to install Plex server onto this drive. Don’t do that. Keep the default installation location on drive C:
If you have space constraints on drive C:, move the Plex data folder instead. The installer app doesn’t do that. It is a separate process.

How much free space do you have currently left on drive C:?

E is just a partition on c:, that allows me to keep all the programs separate. Never had an issue with any other program.
I did you suggestion, reinstalled on c: and received this error message instead.
vivaldi_lG36vLRXNf
no other changes or messages.

Ok, now that we have this out of the way, see

Thanks for the info. In the updates folder their is only the latest update, and no others.
Where can I download the previous version?

Try going straight to step 2 and perform the repair.

If that doesn’t work, restore a database update before attempting the repair https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/

I found a place to download a previous version.
It is working fine now. Must be something in the new version my PC does not like.
Thanks for trying to help.
Have a GREAT day!

I thought I saw in your logs that you’re still running the 32bit version.
If you haven’t already, I’d explicitly install the 64bit version.
It usually works smoother.
