Plex stops playing movies after 15 minutes, using synology NAS with shield pros #playback

my movies seem to be stopping 15 minutes into play, not all of them but certainly 30%. I really cant find a cure. All movies play if they are Transcoding. #playback
Using Synology DS920+ with 2 Nividia Sheild Pros.Denon AV receiver (all fed via ethernet cable)
Bandwith is fine and NAS CPU is barely above 20%.
Everything played fine before update.
Can any one help? I would be very grateful.

You might try looking at the videos that fail and the ones that succeed to see what type/codec they are. Not sure how this might help but I had a problem a while back where the video would play but there’d be no sound, at least on my Vizio TV. But the videos would play fine when played through the web interface and just playing the video file through VLC. Turned out the app on the Vizio TV was having problems with the audio codec in use in the video container. A simple change the Vizio Plex app config fixed the problem.

Hello and thank you for responding to my problem.
It seems that since I updated Plex that it has a problem with direct streaming my films, films that played under direct stream before the update no longer work after the update. I have set my shield pros to 20Mbps which makes the film transcode but plays fine.
Here’s hoping that the Plexians at head office fix this soon.
