Plex support?

Does Plex have any live support at all? Or, do they expect all of their users to be adept at programming registries? If they expect all their users to be so adept, then this product and company will fail simply because the market is limited to programmers and nerds (no offense, I am one.) But that means we should NOT invest in this platform. Please tell me I am wrong.

No, we do not.

But some of us robots are around. How may we help?

I guess that depends a LOT on the definition of “life” that is currently being used.

This definition is often used:
Life definition , the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

Of course many scientists do not define a “virus” as living but even crystals and fire can seem to be alive.

In the case here we have little proof that there are any “living” creatures that are at the receiving end of anything typed here.

Even existence can be questioned here:

First Man: I think, I think I am, therefore I am, I think.

Establishment: Of course you are my bright little star,
I’ve miles
And miles
Of files
Pretty files of your forefather’s fruit
and now to suit our
great computer,
You’re magnetic ink.

First Man: I’m more than that, I know I am, at least, I think I must be.

But as far as support goes:
If you ask good questions your chances of good answers are better than asking no questions at all,

Peter,

Plex server is working and has been for a couple of years.

But in the last few days, when I try to access the server settings, I get the message “Server settings unavailable.” I am unable to download and install updates, for example.

Thanks,

Bud

Elijah, thanks for your reply. I previously posted my problem on the forums and received no replies. So I decided to troll.

Plex server is working and has been for a couple of years. I have a Lifetime Pass. I have over 175 movies, 65 days of music and much more.

But, in the last few days, when I try to access the server settings, I get the message “Server settings unavailable.” I am unable to download and install updates, for example. Otherwise everything is working.

Thanks,

Bud

“Server settings unavailable” can be caused by a few different things. The quick check is to turn on the debug console in your web browser, then visit the settings page. Look to see if there is an error.

Alternatively you can turn on logging in Plex Web, visit the settings page, view the logs, save it as a text file and upload it here. Then grab the PMS logs manually, zip them all up and upload those too.

Log attached.

Thanks for your help.

Bud

I don’t see anything attached.
