Is there any way to remove Tidal? It’s stuck in my Discover bar and it’s one reason why Live TV /DVR is not even viewable any more.
Buying Plex Pass shouldn’t mean being forced to see new things and taking away functionality we already had!

Yes, at the same place where all Online Media sources can be disabled.
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources
No, that’s disabling for the use of them.
They persist on the discover bar as the last 4 to the right: news, podcasts, web, tidal.
There HAS to be a way to say no to these and get TV/DVR back there!
You might have to specify which type of Plex client you are using.
The client is Sony OLED TV
If I use that client for the plex server (11.1U6) it shows Live TV in the discover bar
If I use the same client for the plex server (11.2) it doesn’t show live TV (but I can setup that server for live TV and watch on web client).
So it’s weird because the client plex player in my TV isn’t blocking it on the old version but is on the new one yet I can watch live TV thru a web client for the new one.
Sorry, I don’t follow.
I don’t know which client you have there. 11.1U6 is no version number I recognize for any Plex client or server.
Probably Android TV if it’s a Sony.
If it is indeed the Android TV client, then I don’t know it, unfortunately.
You should probably ask about this in a separate thread. If possible, provide some screenshots.

For Android TV, older versions use to have a LiveTV hub on the main home page. This was recently removed. You can still access the LiveTV/DVR feature from your library list at the top. They are at the far right like you mentioned.
New Music Friday - no updates in the New Releases For You carousel, the same 3 listings that have been there all week.
Granted there’s not a ton of relevant releases for me, cross-referencing Spotify, but there are a couple singles that I would have liked surfaced to me.
Surface relevant new releases seems to be the hardest thing for existing streaming services to get right, Rdio was the only service that really nailed this.
Plex should really make sure to nail this feature as this one of the biggest killer features of having Tidal integration. It would be cool if on Fridays, that carousel moved to the top of the Music page for the day to really highlight the new music for users. If there’s any benefit to having Tidal integration, it’s to easily browse new music before manually adding those releases to your library so you know what’s worth adding or not.
I would also like to see a family plan, where we could assign access to users (not just accounts) on the system. That way the wife and I could enjoy access as well as my kids who are in various college towns and have a user but not a plex account.
I do love how you can mix Tidal and local media in a playlist and it seamlessly plays the tunes.
great work, it’s filled some holes in my music library/playlists i listen to.
OMG I have so many issues with Tidal on Plex.
This is no way a stable service. I will cancel ASAP if no solution or at least notify me if this is only available with Plex pass. It feels like half a service integrated but not communicated.
My first post and it has to be so negative
I’m floored by the pricing.
For less then what Plex is charging you can get video, audio syncing and 2 day shipping for a few accounts/people by another provider. $10 or $20 per month for a single user use is just crazy IMHO.
Too little, to late. Way to many free music services that do what a majority of people want/need with like music and “radio stations”.
Maybe a couple of bucks a month but when the subscription tops Netflix or Amazon in cost (or both monthly) you have to wonder how this is justified or how it will be a big a success.
I personally don’t see it myself.
Tidal is not available on the PS4 app. See https://support.plex.tv/articles/an-intro-to-tidal-with-plex/ for the list of clients that support Tidal now.
3rd New Music Friday with Tidal integration and the New Music from Tidal carousel hasn’t changed.
Has it changed in the TIDAL app? That might be a good way to check if there’s a bug on the Plex side.
I’m pretty sure we get the list from Tidal directly, so it is a good idea to check on Tidal’s site too.
Please have the ability to sort this menu position. I dont care about Web Shows or Podcast, so I want Movie, TV, and Tidal to be the first listed.
Customization is something we are looking into.
