Plex.tv outage in Seattle

Yes when I press on the Sign in button this gets output in the console

“Failed to execute ‘postMessage’ on ‘DOMWindow’: The target origin provided (‘https://app.plex.tv’) does not match the recipient window’s origin (‘https://www.plex.tv’).”

Comcast, Google DNS set, my own modem and route, in the greater Seattle area. Connecting via a vpn immediately lets everything load without issue. But no vpn logging in does not work, as well as the downloads page doesn’t load either.

Stripped out the tokens. Seeing lots of errors like the below in console:

[Connections] Testing connection for plex.tv at https://plex.tv/monitoring/health
[Connections] plex.tv is unavailable at https://plex.tv/monitoring/health (Status 0)
[Servers] Failed to request resources through plex.tv

Same issue in Seattle, plex.tv doesn’t connect

I’m using cloudfare 1.1.1.1 and still having the issue. I don’t think it’s dns because all of those servers are returning the same results for nslookup.

Can you provide the DNS resolve results?

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: plex.tv
Addresses: 99.81.153.144
108.128.10.254
99.81.164.127

Same issue: Seattle area (Renton), Comcast, my own hardware, cloudflare.
I am on a VPN to login to Plex and reply.
I am able to view the Plex forum (this thread) without VPN over Comcast, but I am unable to login to Plex via browser.

Could also be Amazon CDN problem. That’s what those IP addresses are pointing to.

And we’re back,

The forums is hosted by discourse:

host forums.plex.tv
forums.plex.tv is an alias for plex.hosted-by-discourse.com.
plex.hosted-by-discourse.com has address 64.71.144.207
plex.hosted-by-discourse.com has IPv6 address 2602:fd3f:3:ff01::cf

app.plex.tv is Cloudflare and plex.tv is AWS

This is looking like a routing issue

Almost certainly a routing issue, but it’s now resolved for me, and probably everybody else.

Magically all started working again after 12 hours down?

Everything seems to be working again! Woo hoo!

We are back up and running.
Thanks for the help, All!

I having the same issue I’m in kirkland and on comcast.
the sign in page won’t work unless I login with my VPN.

Odd. my seedbox (backup Plex) hosted somewhere in midwest is now down.
Maybe a rolling outage?
