Plex TV Scanner - What changed recently?

So over the past week I’ve noticed something strange with Rifftrax specifically - one day it lost most of its artwork. This happened in both my production Plex and my back-up plex instance. This is specially odd since the back-up instance’s configuration has remained static for years (with the exception of metadata refreshes/scheduled tasks). They are both using the “new” plex series agent. This resulted in artwork loss for 800+ episodes as none of the DB’s in the scanner support art for this show. A server roll back resolved this - but again something changed to cause this across both servers.

Its now going on 4 days since the latest Rifftrax was added to thetvdb (I went to add it and it was already existing in the DB as of friday early afternoon) - and yet the data is not pulled into plex. This has been a growing tend with this data taking longer and longer to pull in - however this is the worst its ever been. So in short has something changed with the new Agent?

Server Version#: 4.116.1 - On Both
Player Version#: N/a

Well this is still not pulling data a week past the date the tv show came out and was posted on thetvdb. Reverting my TV libraries all to the legacy scanners to make use of community based metadata resources. You guys should have a talk with whoever is your new private metadata source as they’re dropping the ball.

And this is why I do not let Plex do metadata refreshes on its own.

Plex changed where they get their images, so people who have automated metadata refresh on (why?) saw many of their posters change.
