I have recently updated my TV library to use the new Plex TV Series scanner and agent and I have noticed an odd behavior that seems to pop up randomly where the Library scan will treat all existing TV shows as brand new and refresh all the metadata on the items and retrigger items such as intro scanning for those items.
This issue happens both with the periodic scans that I have setup and can sometimes happen if I manually trigger a scan for that library. It doesn’t happen all the time but seems to happen after 7+ days and I notice it due to increased hard drive activity on my NAS (which is where all the content is stored.)
This issue never happened with the old scanner and agent and only started happening after switching to the new agent.
Has anyone else encountered this issue / have any solutions?
