I’m struggling to get Plex to pull in the ‘originally available’ date from the metadata in my .mp4 files.
The library in question is of type TV Shows using the ‘Plex TV Series’ for scanner and agent.

The series I am having difficulty with is one where I created the video content, packaged it in an MP4 container and edited all the metadata manually using Subler.
The directory structure complies with best practices.
Library

------Show Name - S01E01 Episode Name.mp4
----Season 2
------Show Name - S02E01 Episode Name.mp4
–poster.png
I added a poster.png and it pulls that fine, but it won’t pull the poster embedded in the .mp4 nor the ‘release date’.
I’ve removed the series from the library directory, executed the plex bundle dance multiple times, and then re-added it to the library.
It seems to pull in everything except ‘release date’, which I expect ‘originally available’ maps to.
I need to use these embedded dates as those dates are used to integrate with other series in a smart playlist, sorted by release date.
All of the files are imported with an ‘originally available’ date of 1900-01-01, which is unhelpful.
