Plex Ubuntu - library doesn't update when adding files

Hi,

I’m running PMS on Ubuntu under docker.
When adding files to my media folder the PMS library doesn’t update.
When deleting files from the media folder the PMS library does update.

Don’t know what’s wrong… probably permission issues, since I’m very fresh with Linux I’ve no clue where to start…

Hope you guys will be able to help me.

When you add media to an existing library, the thing you want to click is Scan Library
Although I prefer manually, you can set that to occur automatically in

Settings > Library > Scan My Library Automatically

When it comes to removing and possibly replacing things, the directions in The Plex Dance are the best.

Have a look at the Plex Website Articles too. They are fantastic.

Thanks but it’s already configured as “Automatic”.

I’m wondering if it might be permission issues.

And what happens when you click Scan Library Files?

After it finishes, download your Server Logs and consider uploading the most recently saved ones.
