Plex web player interface does not store per-Library customizations any longer

Player Version#: web (using latest Chome 64-bit)

No library on the home screen retains it’s customizations any longer (last two versions of server installed on my QNAP).

Most importantly, switching from “Recommended” to 'Library" (which I still wish was FORCED op;tionally by a server-side setting). “Recommended” is useless in my scenario as always. NOT keeping the new setting as it did until the last two updates is unwanted new behavior.

  1. Select “Documentaries” library
  2. Select “Library” view on the bar at the top
  3. Switch to a different library
  4. Switch back to “Documentaries” - it is back at “Recommeded” view (same for every Library)

This combined with the fact that it REMEMBERS the last selected subfolder in every Library, is unwanted functionality.

Disable ad/cookie blockers and/or whitelist plex.tv and your local server, 192.168.0.61 (looks like you’re using Ad Blocker Plus).

Yes, I had used it for years. I’ll try that for the heck of it, but that simply means I won’t be able to select Library any longer because I’m not keeping it turned off. I find it odd that it would suddenly cause a problem as of about two weeks ago.

It’s remembering the selected tab just fine for me. Are you sure the “Remember selected tab” setting is enabled?

Not sure what you mean by “subfolder.” Are you referring to the problem where a Music library reverts to viewing Artists by Title every time?
