This could be the weirdest bug I’ve ever seen in Plex.
TV Series ‘Delocated (2009)’
Episode S03E06 named ‘Sample’
I tried for weeks to get this episode to load. Things I tried:
I re-encoded it, thinking maybe it had a glitch.
I DVR’d it to be sure there wasn’t an encoding issue.
I watched it with VLC player, it played perfectly, still wouldn’t load.
I tried to load it as S04E01, or S00E01, wouldn’t load
I tried different encoding versions.
Did the “Plex dance” more times then I care to admit.
I ran various database utilities to clean, reindex, and even rebuilt my database.
Finally renamed the episode from ‘Sample’ to ‘xxx’ and it immediately loaded.
I renamed it to ‘Sample’, and Plex dropped it.
My analysis, is that if the episode name is ‘Sample’, it will not load.
