Plex wont start on windows 10

Server Version#: 1.43.10611
Player Version#: n/a

Had to rebuild server and not much working.
Starting plex just gave an error popup window with not info anywhere else.
Uninstalled plex, rebooted and reinstalled.
Same result.
Appdata used to be on a separate drive which has now disappeared but assuming uninstal would have cleared that setting.

Found the solution on reddit. Thanks to nickces
Quick update for anyone who still needs some assistance. I was able to resolve this issue by changing only 2 values in the registry. As mentioned in other posts, you want to type “regedit” in the Start menu, then navigate to this key:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server

Then look for these two values:

ButlerDatabaseBackupPath

LocalAppDataPath

In my case, the file paths were pointing to file paths on drives that no longer existed. I just updated the drive letter to a drive that actually exists and the new folders were created automatically when I launched Plex again
