Plex won't work

Player Version#:not using a player

So I’m evaluating PLEX as a media platform since all the YouTube folks are so hot on it.
I made a TV show library and everything seemed to work fine. Then it stopped working, I can’t remember why in ignorance I reset my server
Upon re-creation of the SAME files in the SAME folders PLEX all of a sudden can’t find thumbnails or information for any except two shows (everything was there before)
That’s not even my problem
My problem is I can’t watch anything
Because APPARENTLY my server software needs to “configure” itself twelve to fifteen times in a 24 hour period - it’s doing it right now “Configuring, please wait”
I have uninstalled it, I have reinstalled it, I’m honestly ready to give up alltogether on PLEX

Oh, I also do not believe at all that there exists plex “tech support” I love how everything is “Wank off and read the forums”
If I wanted to do research I’d write the f’n software myself
