Plexamp on Android does not connect to my Plex Server over cellular.
It works fine on my wifi at home.
The Plex app works fine over cellular. I can see my movies, TV & music.
Do you have any app specific configuration determining which features of your phone/Android each app can use (e.g. access to mobile data)?
I checked this. I have the settings the same for both the the Plex app and Plexamp. In Android there is no setting to allow or not allow general mobile data for specific apps. Within the app you can allow/not allow Background data usage. I have the Plex app and Plexamp both set to allow Background data usage.
It is definitely a strange problem. I would presume that both apps are accessing my Plex server the same way. But the Plex app is able to and Plexamp is not able to. I can’t find anything within the Android settings that is treating the two apps differently. And on the Plex Media Server side there are no Plexamp specific settings.
At this stage I have re-einstalled Plexamp several times. In between reboots of my Samsung S21 Android phone.
