Plexamp isn't allowed to use mobile data

The topic is the error I get when I open plexamp on my android mobile device. The recommended solution is to “change this in Settings.”

Maybe I’m simply dense, but I could not for the life of me find out where to successfully “change this.”

I went through every menu option and even the most likely suspect seemed okay to me.

What am I doing wrong?
Is the app making fun of me?

As an aside, my search for this specifically worded error yielded absolutely no results. I found that odd. So I’m hoping that wording this topic exactly as displayed in the app will help any future wanderers like me..

I wonder if it would be helpful have available an FAQs for every specific error plex/plexlabs message that can be searchable with a copy/paste of the error text . . . or at least those with simple solutions.

My guess is that’s it’s referring to a system setting, not a Plexamp setting. E.g. in my phone’s settings, under Connections > Data Usage > Allowed networks for apps, I can set specific apps to only use Wi-Fi data:

After some testing, that isn’t a Plexamp message, it’s coming from Android directly. If I set any online app to only use WiFi, then turn off WiFi, I get that toast message when starting the app.

Yup, it’s an Android message. Bad UI as it’s easy to confuse it with a Plexamp app message.
