Plexamp control issue?

PlexAmp 3 is my new favorite thing in life, it is making the shelter in place much more enjoyable, thanks!

I have one potential request. I often use Rogue Amoeba’s Airfoil to allow streaming to multiple speakers in my house. Airfoil let’s you stream to multiple devices, airplay 1 & 2 speakers, as well as bluetooth devices simultaneously with individual volume controls or each device. In addition to the ability to skip, repeat and pause tunes.

Generally this works with every audio player I’ve ever tried. Well up until PlexAmp v3, suddenly the ability to pause or control tracks remotely is broken. Even streaming to a HomePod I’m not allowed to pause vocally or using the top controls. At first I thought the issue was with Airfoil and engaged their support system. After several conversations, here’s the reply I received:

Hi Charles,

That makes sense - PlexAmp isn't supported for remote controls like other apps:

We'd love to support it, if there are scripting hooks in the app and they add support for control via Airfoil and Airfoil Satellite.

This would be a great add in my book, thanks for considering it.

I use Airfoil / Airfoil Satellite as well for this same purpose. It worked great for me with previous versions of Plexamp (prior to the otherwise fantastic overhaul with v3). Now my iOS Plex app doesn’t “see” Plexamp desktop on my iMac as a remote player like it did for prior versions, so I can’t control Plexamp desktop playing throughout the house from my iPhone. I’m not sure if there’s something I have to do to make it show up or if the remote player feature just isn’t implemented yet in the new Plexamp.
